Interactive Experience | Design & Build

Overview

Most automotive brands have launched their electric vehicles based on their Eco-credentials, appealing to people who want to help the environment. The Škoda ENYAQ IV is different. This car represented a paradigm shift in not only the technology they were using in their vehicles but also the design, with its aggressive styling and distinctive line you could easily mistake it for a premium marque car.

Škoda created a campaign to show that this car had so much more to offer than just zero emissions. The campaign idea featured two robots to dramatise the two sides of this flagship car. PU-RR is meant to represent the “electric”side, and to bring to life the  caring eco and technological features of the car, whereas GR-RR the other robot sibling represents the “attitude” – allowing us to talk about the design and innovation behind the ENYAQ.

Launch the experience

Experience both sides

We created an online microsite, a rich engaging experience that picked up from where the TV campaign left off. We see the car leaving its creators, the robots, then we allow the audience to explore the features of the car from two different perspectives.

Each scene can be “flipped” to reveal another feature of the car, The “electric” world focusses on the technology and green features. But at any point you can press and hold, using motion and sound we invoke the personality of the other robot allowing us to transition into the “Attitude”world that allows us to discover the innovation and design led features of the car.

Mobile Experience

The campaign launch was supported with paid media from social channels. This meant that the experience had to also be optimised for mobile so our audience could easily engage with the ENYAQ IV. A large amount of traffic to the mobile experience would then be directed to skoda.co.uk to find out more, configure their model or book a test-drive.
